Jay Z teams up with X Ambassadors and Jamie N Commons to bring the latest addition to Beats Audio’s "The Game Before The Game" 2014 World Cup campaign.
The Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent has announced that they will present an exhibition of photographs by Hedi Slimane entitled “Sonic” starting in September of 2014.
A collection of studio portraits from 15 years of musical archives, most of which were shot in black and white, will be exhibited for the first time. Amongst the collection will be images of the late Lou Reed and Amy Winehouse, as well as Keith Richards and Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. Alongside the portraits will be alternative scenes of London and California.
The exhibition, which will feature a video installation juxtaposing the musical sounds of London (2003-2007) and California (2007-2014) as a documentary showcasing the portraits of two generations of performers, and their fans.
“Sonic” will be available for preview starting September 18th of 2014 until January 11th of 2015 at the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent.

The new key that comes with the BMW i8 may just be a game changer. LCDs are basically everywhere but they’re yet to be implemented into a car key. But it’s understandable why – it kills battery. However the tech is now available due to things like Bluetooth Low Energy.
The high resolution LCD can show how much charge is left in the car, what the current capable range is, when it was fully charged and if it is locked or not.
Thankfully the whole thing isn’t made up of a display, it still has some tactile buttons. The most useful buttons of course being the lock/unlock and boot.

Converse and the French maison Maison Marin Margiela have teamed up for a second second sneaker collection.
Titled “The First String” the collaboration will showcase a pure white hand painted sneaker, which when worn enough, crack elegantly revealing one of four Converse heritage color-ways beneath: Amber Glow and True Navy with the Converse All Star Chuck ’70 and Azure Blue and Biking Red with the Converse Jack Purcell.
Featured discreetly yet prominent on the tongue of the sneaker will be the distinguished Maison Martin Margiela logo.
“We’re pleased to offer a new expression of such a great collaboration between Converse and the Maison,” says Maison Martin Margiela. “The story of two like-minded brands continues with the evolution of the sneaker collection where personal expression is at the forefront, revealing the expression of vibrant colors shining through an incognito white coat that ages with time.”
The Converse x Maison Martin Margiela First String collection will be available worldwide on Friday, May 23rd at Converse San Francisco, Santa Monica and SoHo stores, Maison Martin Margiela stores for a suggested retail price of $250 USD.

Nestled into the native shrubs on the Martha’s Vineyard coastline, East House’s site-cast concrete façade welcomes the tendrils of coastal vines, while providing a robust face to New England’s coastal weather. The ten-inch thick concrete walls are cast in the form of a collection of concrete boxes, relieved with sustainably harvested Spanish Cedar window frames, and oriented to achieve both subtle and dramatic responses to the landscape.
Bentley has released a short documentary aptly titled “Intelligent Details” showcasing the £225,000 flagship Bentley Mulsanne model. A hybrid vehicle which uses both petrol and electricity as power sources, the unique system, a first for Bentley, cuts the power output by a quarter while cutting gas emissions by 70%.
The Mulsanne now also comes with rear solid metal fold down tables housing iPad Air devices which connect to the Mulsannes on-board Wi-Fi.
The documentary itself was shot using an iPhone 5S, the FiLMiC Pro app and was assembled and edited in the back of a Mulsanne. How’s that for intelligent detail?
Jay Z and Beyonce have released a teaser trailer, presumably for their upcoming On The Run tour, which will definitely have heads turning (if they weren’t already).
Simply titled “Run” and released on Jay Z’s website Life+Times, the star studded trailer featuring the likes of Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Guillermo Díaz, Emmy Rossum, Jake Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, Rashida Jones, and Kidada Jones portrays The Carters in a Bonnie and Clyde like film.
Prominently showcased on the website NeverComing.com and directed by Beyoncé’s go to director Melina Matsoukas, we simply have to wonder: why the hell wasn’t this made into a full length film?
